Vinavil, the historic Italian brand of the Mapei Group known for the production of white glue, has donated to the network of Salesians for Social APS, 1,678 bottles of glue destined for the recreational activities of the Don Bosco day care centres throughout Italy.
The Don Bosco housing was created to help minors in serious difficulty. These are the places where poor and marginalised children and adolescents can study, play, grow and have new opportunities thanks to the daily commitment of educators, volunteers and donors. Now more than 95,000 children and young people are welcomed every day at the 30 Don Bosco centers of the Salesians for Social APS network.
The collaboration between Vinavil and Salesians was established in the early days of crisis when these centres opened their doors to the many refugee children from Ukraine. For them, specific school schedule and Italian language course have been set up within a spirit of family and integration that characterises all activities, especially the more creative ones.
On the occasion of the delivery of part of the donation at the Salesian Centre S. Domenio Savio in Arese (MI), Vinavil's Sales and Marketing Director, Eng. Silvio Pellerani, spoke, stating that 'it was a collaboration that began quickly, as these things often do, from the first contact to the created opportunity, which will continue over time. Vinavil is very sensitive to these initiatives, so what we can do, we will do very gladly.”
Addressing a heartfelt thank you to the company was Sara Bernabei, head of the fundraising area of Salesians for Social APS: "Vinavil stood out for its great sensitivity and generosity. It was a gesture of great value for the children all over Italy because they felt they were supported by a great Italian company. The 'Home & School' glue donated to the 'Don Bosco' day care centers is now more than ever a symbols of play and participation, welcome and inclusion. To unite rather than divide'.
