VINAVIL 2246

March 13, 2024

Vinavil is pleased to announce the launch of a single-component wood adhesive that meets D3 durability class free of added formaldehyde (NAF), featuring high water resistance and excellent resistance to static load stress.

The new adhesive differs from current range and market products in its excellent setting speed and high level of loadability.

Its innovative composition, in conjunction with the high pH value of the dispersion, allows it to be formulated with inorganic fillers of any chemical nature, including CaCO3.Specifically, a maximum amount of 40 *pbw on the dispersion ensures maintenance of compliance with Class D3 and mechanical strength in hot Watt 91.

It should be noted that in hot bonding, and even at high frequency, the glue line does not undergo any color alteration.

The dispersion does not contain chlorides and amphoteric metals. This avoids corrosion of plants, or parts of them, of a metallic nature preventing coloration of the glue line and limiting wood staining phenomena.

VINAVIL 2246 L was developed avoiding the use of those chemical components that can generate formaldehyde. This ensures total formaldehyde exemption in dispersion and enables the gluing of panels that can be classified according to the strictest restriction limits. Tests using the EN 717-1 chamber method showed a formaldehyde emission of less than 10 pbw.
